Our Mission
Heirborn Servants seeks to improve every aspect of life by providing women in need with transportation, mentorship, and bonding ties within their local communities. Our approach gives survivors of human trafficking, survivors of domestic violence, and single moms the support they need on every level to empower them to make lasting changes in their lives and the lives of their families. We want to help single moms and survivors find not only stability, but also passion and purpose.
- Transportation: We give women a way out of their current situation by giving them the means to move forward. We work through individual car donations, rideshare services, key partnerships with local dealerships, and financial donations to give single moms and survivors reliable transportation to get to work, school, doctor’s appointments, and all that life demands.
- Transformation: We have a team of mentors—many of whom are survivors themselves—who come alongside the women in our ministry to provide emotional support, spiritual guidance, and friendship. We also offer small group discussions and outreach events to facilitate deeper relationships with God and fellowship within church communities.
- Community Ties: We’re passionate about investing in our local community. That means helping others share their gifts by building lasting ties with community and corporate partners who want to contribute to our mission by providing the means to help the women we serve get back on their feet.
The Story Behind the MissionThe seeds of Heirborn Servants were planted in our founder’s childhood. After his father abandoned the family, Jon and his siblings were raised by a single mother who struggled to support her family. When a family member gifted her with an old vehicle, Jon saw hope take root. The ability to drive her kids to school, get to work reliably, and conveniently accomplish daily tasks like grocery shopping and visits to the doctor made a real and lasting impact on the lives of their family.
Although Jon’s unstable childhood led to anger and acting out—including several brushes with the law—a relationship with Jesus reversed the course of his life, guiding him into roles serving as a pastor at 12 Stone Church and as a Gwinnett Police Chaplain. But God wasn’t done with Jon yet. With the urging of God and the encouragement of his wife, Lesley, Jon launched Heirborn Servants in 2016. Since then, Jon has lived out its mission daily by engaging with local church communities, partnering with local charity organizations, and interceding—both in prayer and in action—on behalf of those facing seemingly hopeless situations. Jon invites you to prayerfully consider becoming part of something bigger than yourself: Heirborn Servants. |
Stories of the Women Impacted by the “Give Rides” Ministry
The names and locations of the women represented below have been changed to protect their autonomy and continued safety.
Betty is the single mom of a physically/mentally-disabled son. She is a recovering addict who has health issues related to drug abuse and has been clean for 9 months! She was working a program put in place by law enforcement and went to every meeting she was required to attend. She has since graduated and only has to go to AA meetings now. The “Give Rides” program helps her attend the AA meetings, get her son to doctor’s appointments, therapy sessions, the grocery store, and food bank. By gifting her a vehicle, she plans to give back to others in her community by providing rides and getting others to recovery meetings like herself. She can now attend programs like Celebrate Recovery and other classes that will help her keep mentally, emotionally and spiritually healthy.

Casey came from the OOD ministry that works with women who want to come out of the sex traffic industry. She has been sober for one year and currently lives in a sober living home. Lyft Rides help her get to the meetings she needs to attend to stay clean and fulfill the program she is working through. She is giving back by helping the women who are just beginning the journey of coming out of the human trafficking lifestyle. She is involved with the TOD ministry to help provide meals and encouragement for the women and their children who are still in the lifestyle. She also regularly attends recovery meetings at TOD.

We gave her a vehicle and she is working now to establish her own cleaning company so she can not only make a decent living for her and her child, but also to employ other women coming out of domestic violence situations. Through support and hard work, she was able to save up for a down payment on a car.
