One way to maximize your giving to Heirborn Servants "Give Rides" program is through non-cash gifts. This option not only enables you to make a potentially greater impact through "Give Rides", it also provides you with several important benefits.
Contributing non-cash assets before a sale eliminates capital gains taxes you would otherwise be required to pay from the sale of stocks, mutual funds, business interest, or property. This method of giving may lower estate taxes and increase charitable deductions. Heirborn Servants would then liquidate the asset at the optimum time, maximizing the value and impact of the contribution.
